Kalamata cultivar

The Kalamata cultivar is typical of the Greek area of the Peloponnese. These olives have a purplish-black colour and are mainly used as table olives. The oil produced with Kalamata olives has obtained PDO recognition.
These olives are usually consumed already pitted in a typical Greek salad with feta cheese.
