Galega Vulgar cultivar

The Galega Vulgar cultivar is the most widespread cultivar in Portugal, mainly in the Alentejo region. The fruits are black and have an elliptical shape, and are used both as table olives and for oil production. The fruits of this cultivar are used to produce a PDO extra virgin olive oil, Azeite do Alentejo Interior PDO.
